Greetings friends and colleagues of Arynne Simon;
After numerous attempts to get my schedule to get me to LA, as well as it a good time for Arynne to have visitors, I finally make my visit on July 24th, 2007.
I wanted to share with everyone who loves her, how much I enjoyed my visit, and my urgency to return and visit as soon as I can.
It lifted my heart to see her, and it hurt my heart to see her.
As we all know, Arynne does not like anything that slows her down, and her bout with Vertigo, was driving her batty.
The good news is, she did not seem dizzy and had very good balance.
The difficult news was to see how it hurt her when she would remember and realize she was not well yet.
With her condition, you can sit and talk to her, and she is as animated and chatty and passionate as always.
If you were to video tape the visit, and play it back without sound, you would think it was totally normal.
With the sound on, you would not be able to make out the foreign language, with of course a mix in of something she is saying that is recognizable.
Even those the words are different, it was clear to me, 80% of the time, what she was telling me with her behavior and the look in her eye.
I know she was talking to me about my strained family relationship, and sending me her love. I know she was asking about work, and encouraging me as always (which has been something so important to me, and only she knows how much).
I cried with her, when she would cry at her anger for being handicapped in the language skills.
Bill explained to me, that for the most part, her verbal and mental brain that handles language skills, believes she is saying what her mind wants to say.
When she realizes from time to time, that we or I don't understand her , her frustration at her condition just makes her so angry and sad.
The good news is, she did say letters and was spelling things for me, which Bill had not seen her recite letters till that date.
One day, she could wake up and have it all back in order, or through therapy she will achieve her language skills back (in most cases).
All of this does not stop Arynne from telling you what is on her mind, and for that, I am truly grateful.
I love her to the moon and back, and I can't wait to see her again. To me, I know she is Arynne in her behavior, and it is my heart to heart connection that has always been the most precious connection with my girlfriend Arynne.
Thank you Will for facilitating my visit, and I look forward to coming again very soon.
